Waitatapia Farming specialises in lamb finishing on its high energy grasses and summer crops. Its aim is to grow all lambs as fast as possible all year round, which reduces the environmental footprint by minimizing the time the lambs are on the farm. Lambs are sourced from a variety of farmers who specialize in breeding, mainly on hill country, with the lambs coming to Waitatapia to be finished prior to being processed. Our soil types and location allow Waitatapia to focus on out of season lamb finishing helping New Zealand meet the demand from our customers who want quality lamb 365 days of the year. All lambs are weighed before processing helping provided a quality even line which is specific to the end user.
